Author Topic: Steam Error Please Help  (Read 718 times)

Heyo guys. Trying to keep this short as possible. My friend and I want to play Synergy, I try to join his server, I get this error: Invaild STEAM Userid Ticket. Does anyone have the solution for this?

Reinstall Steam.
It happened to me too and that's the only way to fix it, as far as I know.

Ya I realize what he said, that's what he knows. I was asking if anyone else knew.

And I was showing that I knew, too.  Just try it.

Try deleting/renaming the config and userid folders in your steam directory.

Also rename ClientRegistry.blob to something else.

make sure steam isn't running when you do those stuff

If that doesn't work, try running HL2, EP1, and EP2 individually (Letting them start up to the menu and then closing them) and then trying Synergy again.

If none of that works,

Reinstall Steam.

I've had this problem with nomoreroominhell, try deleting the config folder in your steam folder and restarting steam

I can't delete the config folder because it's saying it's being used in another program or whatever. Steam is closed and yet it still does it.

Make sure it's closed in Task Manager.

I did check, it's not there. There are two hl2.exe *32's though. I'm not sure what that's for, should I end that process or would that effect something?

Yeah, just kill them.
