well i am makeing my first addon its going 2 be a bot and driveable as a vehicle (like the Mech)
Btw i'm useing Blender
so since i'm modeling it i dont want to mess up
so here are some questions i have (so far i only have 2):
1. what layers do i have to put on it (the meshes)
2. where do you put the joints at?

Layers are irrelevant. You should put the joints on spots where they make sense. The right hand mount point shouldn't be on top of your head.

btw the bot i'm modeling is not actuly a human thats why i used the Meck as a referance (prity shure it makes no difference)

Layers do matter, depending on what exporter is being used. Also, playertypes can be a bit challenging, if this is your first add-on or something, I would try something else.

When exporting you can set shapes on different layers but I believe that the layers in Blender have no effect on anything.

The latest exporter uses layers instead of empties to tell the exporter what are different LODs and what are collision meshes.
