Author Topic: Computer hates headphones  (Read 638 times)

For some reason my headphones, no matter the brand/capabilities, only work for about an hour or two after I start up my computer. Then it just starts acting like they're not even plugged in, no matter what kind of headphones I have in. I don't know why this happens. Anyone got an answer?

I use a Windows 7 Home Premium HP Pavilon G series computer.

Have you tried licking the tip of the jack and putting it back in? It worked with my iPhone, the jack wasn't connecting well enough.

I don't think that's it. It always happens just a little bit afterwards and it does it with EVERY set of headphones I use. But if I restart, it works again for a few hours, then cuts off once again.

Your computer is a fail much?

No other possibility

your computer's jack is forgeted up. seriously, try licking it. it might be a connectivity issue.

There could be another audio device that is loving with you. Go to Control "Panel/Hardware and Sound/Sound/Manage Audio Devices" and screw around there and see if that helps.
