Author Topic: Black Screen on Boot?  (Read 631 times)

When I turn my computer on, the monitor (CRT) stays black, and the light indicating that it is on blinks. I just moved the monitor and computer from one house to another, and I think something inside might be disconnected. My card is a Nvidia Vanta.

computer is at the edge of extinction

if the comp is started up, then your vid card or cords are shot or unplugged.

if the comp itself isnt fully starting up, then its a shot power supply or MOBO

I think it might be the monitor, as the computer sounds fine, no beeps or anything.

Computer starts up. Everything (external) is plugged in. I'll open the computer up later and reseat everything.

Different computer.

I guess it's the monitor, because it's not a different shade of black when the computer is on or off, it's the same thing - completely blank. So, it's probably the monitor.
