Getting braces off today. Woo.

I have them for two more years, I'm getting them off when I'm a sophomore in high school.  I'm getting my bottom braces this Friday, and they are going to be sore all over again.

how do you get your impressions done?? Mine didnt hurt a snitch, nor did it feel teeth-remove-y.

i haven't had mine done yet, but my mom had braces when she was a kid.

either this is just me with my sensitive teeth, or its true for everyone, but getting the glue off my teeth after taking the brackets off hurt like HELL. probably just me though.

my orthodontist uses a sort of sander to get all the glue off and it really hurts when they go too far (which was almost every time). they've only done it when they had to reposition the brackets, so it's going to be even worse when i go to get the whole thing removed.

You probably have to wear a retainer to keep your teeth in that position.

Hurts like forget getting them off, and for the week after. Once the pain ends, it's paradise again. Just gotta bear through the 1 or 2 weeks.
