Author Topic: Need help to know if I can bring this to VGA  (Read 596 times)

See, I have been trying for about a week now and almost 120 dollars later, yes I know I could have just bought a LCD-TV display by this time but I am stubborn.  Could I bring this DVI-I male to a DVI-I female to VGA Male adapter from component video to my pc monitor?  Also side note, I know it is working properly because I have split the audio off the component out cables to my computer speakers through a few adapters and I can hear it just fine and when I launch my arcsoft showbiz I can see the picture at 720p, just not on my monitor so I am thinking its the DVI input.  Please help, would like to purchase the adapter today at radioshack or wherever the forget I have to go to get it done.

Monitor inputs, the DVI port is DVI-D, I have an adapter already to bring DVI-I to DVI-D but no such luck.

The pins aren't the same; as far as I know, there isn't any other way other than using an adapter or getting a new TV. You're out of luck.

I know the pins aren't the same.  What I was asking is that I can buy an adapter to take it to vga if that will work?

It should work, I don't see why not?
