Author Topic: where are the Bluetooth settings on my computer  (Read 332 times)

I have Windows 7
but I think it is important enough to mention that I think it shipped with Vista, because that's what a sticker says
of course it also has a Bluetooth sticker, otherwise I wouldn't be assuming there should be settings for it
I'm trying to add a device to it

but I don't think that the OS upgrade would have caused the lack of Bluetooth settings, because Bluetooth is hardware, so switching to 7 shouldn't affect it
unless the hardware was only compatible with Vista?

here's what it shows in the device manager

ah, this is what happened with me.

Does it say something about updating? That might be the case why it isn't showing up.

Do you have the proper blue tooth drivers?

I suppose I could check for updates

edit: windows says that the drivers for all three of them are up to date

Hmm, well I never really messed with blue tooth so I don't really know what to say at this point.

What do you have in control panel? Anything like "wireless stuff" or "bluetooth stuff" that you can check out?

supposedly, bluetooth device selection should be in "Hardware and Sound," but that doesn't exist in my control panel and it's not in "Sound" either
