Someone help me with this screen capturer's screenshot options

I switched the screenshot mode to this,

and then I select the thing I want to capture

and then I don't know what to do, I have to just end the process to get rid of it. Here is the website for the program. Someone please help me with this I've used this forever and I want to use this option.
