Author Topic: Server Status(Re-hosted)  (Read 859 times)

At about 10PM yesterday afternoon I set out to get Zack0Wack0's Server Status notifier working again.

At 1:43 this morning, I succeeded.  I am certainly NOT good at coding but I managed to cut a few things out to get it working again.  I am now hosting it on a free website from 000webhost.com.

So yeah, looks ugly, but it's working.

To use it simply replace "Badspot" with another username, then put img tags around it or something.

You can find the source here: http://dglider.site40.net/code.php

EDIT: Added Source Link
Thanks to Zack0Wack0 for leaving the code for this thing on github.  I now know 100% more about PHP than I did yesterday.

Kalphiter already rehosted it
This one is different I guess because it uses name instead of ip but I will stick with kalph's.

Isn't Kalph's switching to names when they are up anyways?

I don't really like it. It works sure, but it is pretty... unaesthetic to use. Maybe enlarge the writing, add some transparency and give it a proper shape and it'll look a lot better.

What font is that? Also, you should provide the source seeing as you're forking already open source code.

Mine does have a host parameter, it's just that the images on my page my change host at any time and it's impractical to do th images by host if th ports are consistent.     h=Kalphiter

If someone hosts two srrvers under thr same key, he will need to separate the images by port.

You should add more styles and colors

I have a dynamic ip.  So, for me, this one is better.

It is the default font, whatever that is.
I didn't see or add any font tags.

There's a reason people use IP:Port instead of just the name. Because there's a chance that someone may want server status for multiple servers run under the same username.

Did I not just explain that?
