i remember when i first bought blockland, i had downloaded these files, but they never worked. i remember on some google searches for add-ons, this website came up and i've always wondered: what is this? were these old add-ons that no longer work with the current version of blockland?

I like how you can read readmes.

This is the BL-Atlantis map for The Better Mod (TBM), a mod for Blockland.

i downloaded these files a long time ago, and even so, it says things about TBM, but i'm not too clear on it - i've read many things on TBM, concluding it was simply a malicious/bad program that allowed devs to abuse things on any server with it, etc.

but what i wanted to know is, around where were these add-ons used, like, what version, or was what i read about TBM wrong, and that TBM was a stand alone game?

would there also be anyway to port anything there (if it was any good, anyway)?

Memories

in a map named Computer there is a secret room with a TBM  poster

i loved these especially Atlantis

TBM was like a modified version of V00002, or however many zeroes there were.

I used to create hex files for the TI-83+ SE and 89T and come very often on this site but i never noticed there was datas related to Blockland. This is cool!

TBM was a standalone game similar to RTB but it had malicious code in it.

I remember Kerm was able to make trains that could follow each other.

They have a forum "Building with Blocks" originally dedicated to Freebuild, which is also dedicated to minecraft now.

it was before retail (dur)

I remember using all of that stuff years ago :D

TBM didn't contain any "malicious code" until some time after RTB came out. AiO (another mod, of which I was a part of during AiO-R) had stolen their helicopter script and hid it in car.cs and refused to admit it. TBM then included code that searched for and deleted AiO from your computer when you started it. It also deleted RTB because.... Hey, why not?

Thanks for a truthful and unbiased approach.

Yep this is the full story right here, thats when TBM started getting a bad reputation.
