This is why I hated internet explorer. (I know this is over exaggerating but still.)

I like google chrome because the top part doesn't take up about 1/3 of the screen.

If you don't click "install this toolbar" every time you install software, that won't happen.

what a sterotype.

i use internet with no toolbars, only bookmarks.

They weren't even there first, NCSA Mosaic was.
I know, but I forgot about that. By the way, Internet Explorer was actually built upon Mosaic's source code after Microsoft bought them out.

Netscape was built by some of the people who built Mosaic though.

How does it make posting avatars easier? It takes about 5 clicks of the mouse and your done.
I've used both Chrome and Firefox. I've only noticed a cosmetic difference.

You have to do this to yourself. Also, just because you aren't using IE, doesn't mean that all those toolbars that you carelessly installed to it aren't clogging up your processing and RAM with external features.

IE: Right click, properties, copy URL, close property box, paste.
Others: Right click, copy image location, paste.

But aside from copying images... There's that huge quote DontCare4Free posted.

i think this is a great idea. anyone still using ie7 is handicapped

Wow Skorpion is soo nonconformist!!!!

I've used internet explorer for years and never had a problem with it.
There is no point in changing to a completely new browser just because some friends on the internet tell me to.

You haven't had any problems before because every has been adapting their code to IE, as mentioned earlier in the thread. However, now that web devs will ignore anything that doesn't follow set web stardards you'll start to have issues (unless you use IE 9, which actually does an okay job).

We aren't telling you what to use. We're just telling you why it's bad software.
