ok i've downloaded winrar now how do i open a rar file with it?

Install the program, doubleclick the file, then drag and drop the files to wherever.

uh i kinda opened the file with blockland before i opened it with rar so i screwed up big time is there anyway to turn it back into a rar file?

Open WinRAR, drag the .rar file into the WinRAR window and drop it.
