My laptop makes clicking noises.

My laptop (Asus X53S) sometimes makes low clicking noises. I'm sitting at my desk normally and I can hear it. It's not amazingly loud, I can barely hear it while playing music. Sometimes it does this regularly every 2-3 seconds, other times (like right now) it doesn't do it at all. Should I be worried?

probably the harddrive, if you put your hand on my chassi you can feel little "nudges" every now and then and this is because of the HDD

It could be a wire loose hitting the fan.

I've heard a wire hitting a fan before. It's a much worse noise.

Well actually if the wire hit the fan and hit it just right it could have flew back up making a clicking noise and then it manages to slide back in a few seconds later.

Just a theory.

do you have a HDD indicator light on your laptop that flashes every now and then?
if the light matches the noise it is the HDD, if it doesnt its probably the HDD anyway x)

It does flash, but not at the same time as the clicking noise from when I observed it.

im absolutely convinced its the HDD, it makes a little noise when the needle or w/e its called moves around on the disc and it doesnt move enough to make a noise sometimes but it still moves so the HDD indicator flashes without a noise being made.

i hope whatever i wrote was coherent because its 9 in the morning and i havent slept yet.
