Author Topic: Why do only the people nobody knows make apology threads?  (Read 517 times)

Serious question. I rarely see an apology thread and don't think to myself, "who is this guy?" Why is that?

Because they think they did something so horribly wrong?

Lol good question.
Its like they are some random dude saying "I'm sorry for blah blah blah"

Likely because the people who need to make apology threads disappear off the face of the forums for several months, during which time everybody forgets about them, then they return when almost nobody knows them anymore.

I don't make apology threads and no one knows me!

I don't make apology threads and no one knows me!
I do!

I think it's because people probably either know better, or don't want to hurt their reputation or something like that. Since any attempt at trying to reconcile for any past wrongdoings just makes this community hate them even more.

I think it's also due to the fact that people who've been around here longer know that such threads probably won't end positively. I don't think I have ever seen one, in the years I've spent here, ever end happily.

And I am sorry for all the horrible things I've done. You'll find the severed snakees under the desk.

Because the people we do know have somewhat of an intelligent enough mind to refrain from making an apology thread.
