Author Topic: How can I turn a model I made in blender into a placeable brick in Blockland?  (Read 1065 times)

I made a model of a blockhead posed into a statue and I want to make it into a placeable brick in game. I have several questions about how to do it.

  • How do I take a .dts file or any other exportable blender file and make it into a place-able brick?
  • How can I texture specific parts of the model so that they change color when painted?
  • How can I texture specific parts of the model so that they do not change color when painted?

You need a .blb not a .dts

Well.
There is destiny's OBJ2BLB converter, but I heard that doesn't really work so well.
Ask Conservative for the PM or whatever.
I think I may have it.

I can't find it anywhere.

Is there any way I can make it other than with that tool?

I made a DTS "brick" by stripping everything off a JVS content add-on. Works perfectly with custom collisions but doesn't support environment mapping for some bizarre reason. It's a normal brick that has a model attached to it and the brick can be any size, same with the model.

Send me a PM with it please.

Also 3D2BLB doesn't work for me.

Export the model as a .ply
Then drag it on 3d3blb
And it works

hey guys

i received an email from zak0wack0 about how "obj2blb" was broken -- you're not using that one are you?
