well, I think there is
if you're going to buy something for more than it's worth, you're wasting money that someone else might need
give the money to a legit charity or something, rather than spending $350 on a $50 pair of jeans

Sorry but I see this all the time on YouTube and it makes no sense.

Its his money. I don't see you donating to charity. Everything you buy has a price tag significantly higher than its production cost because the company set it that high. Does that mean we should all constantly donate to charity?

Whether he buys two pairs of crap jeans or one pair of expensive ones, charity was never involved. Thats bum logic and it really makes me angry when people use it.

Supporting the economy by spending money will do more help in the bigger picture for people who are "in need".

uh, yeah you don't, because I don't have $300 of extra money
and no, it doesn't. I didn't say a damn thing about production. buying stuff that for higher prices than it took to make is normal. it's what companies do to make a profit. what isn't okay is spending extra for something because of a label

So. Every dollar counts! Get donating every time you spend money! What is "worth it" is subjective to every person!

The brand and the label is what the company has invested in to make their product desirable. That sir, is normal business as well.

This isn't an attack on you but rather people who use the ol' charity bullstuff, especially on YT on videos where people destroy computers, etc, and for some reason people decide its a bad thing and that the computer should go to a child in Uganda or some random nonsense.

Charity was never going to be an option. There are lots of things that money could have gone to, hundreds of possible destinations for it. But thinking of the most morally perfect situation in hindsight is hypocritical, and as far as I see it totally irrelevant.

Yes, rather than spend our money on nice things, lets only use it in little punches and be miserable. That is basically what you are saying.

If anything, everyone should be spending more money. Because thats what keeps companies going, and keeps jobs out there, and keeps people paid. Otherwise we are all off to the poor house, and something tells me that won't be helpful for charities either.

no what
you're not understanding or something
the point isn't charity, the point is that you could be doing something more productive with the extra money you spent
I am not saying to buy low-quality products, sheath
I am saying that it's stupid to buy an expensive pair of pants that are the same thing in every way (excluding the company selling it) as the $50 pair

night fox, i'm sure with all the money you've spent on video games you could of done something better with it. like donating to a worthy cause.

i mean, who need video games right? they certainly don't do anything for you and they have no real purpose besides enterainment. why would i spend 60 dollars on a game when i could spend 5 dollars on another?
