Author Topic: How can I bind my side mouse buttons to functions?  (Read 1927 times)

So, I'm using some cheap wireless mouse as a remote (in a way) and I want to be able to use the side buttons as functions. Play/Pause and next song. I'm using Foobar2k. Either mapping a keyboard key to the button or making just the mouse button be a function works.

Did any software come with the mouse to bind it? I used my headset's software to do that for F2K

No. My headset doesn't have any bindable keys either. Only volume up and down, and a microphone mute button.

Don't they just do back/forward in browsers and rewind/fast-forward on WMP?

My browser does forward and backwards, but that's all that works for the binds.

I also tried binding the buttons in Foobar2k's options, but they aren't detected.

I was going to use http://mousecloner.com/ but it costs money. Any alternatives?

er, functions aren't solid objects
what are you trying to say?
