Well I'm just speaking from personal experience, he asked for opinions after all! Love how peoples opinions on phones and stuff is always "my friend", "my brother", always bullstuff.

iPhone for sure, Android is stuff and unreliable.
want me to take you up on that?

want me to take you up on that?
Feel free, but I had terrible experiences with both Android phones I've owned, but a fantastic experience with my iPhone so I doubt there's much you could say to me that would sway my opinion on the matter.

If you want a phone get an iPhone 4, if you want a semi handicapped DIY omgopensource handheld device that is also part phone, get an android.

Android works great out of the box.

iPhone's work great out of the box too, and they look better (than most androids)

iOS is for people who can't open notepad.

O2 is the way to go imo. I get free internet when I top-up by £10 and 500 free texts.
Not that I use my phone that much though, I prefer to have a terrible cell phone and then an iPod touch for all my mobile games and stuff like that. That way if I need to take my phone somewhere I don't have to worry about dropping it because as we all know cheap phones are indestructible and/or can be replaced easily. I would recommend doing the same, but maybe that's just me. :o

Android,    Verizon 4G LTE
Try the Droid 4, or Galaxy Nexus.

I'm posting from my Verizon 4G LTE Android right now.

Verizon has minutes most of the time and your parents can read all your texts.
same with anything other than AT&T.
get an iPhone with AT&T. since a stuffload of people have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, you figured out the iPhone and you can use all of that with ease.

I never had an iPHone but I had an iPod Touch.

My android is 500% better in every way.

it's funny because you're trying so hard to defend apple when really they actually just enabled digital vibrance and re-branded it as "retina display" bullstuff, anyone with a decent monitor has such a high PPI that it's practically the same, proving they're trying too hard to obtain money and morons like you buy into it
besides, i never hear about how the iPhone has a dual core processor, please explain how the iPhone is superior than any android phone hardware wise with it's super fragile glass screen
