How do I install/add maps?

I've been downloading all these mods and maps with WinRAR and Now when I go to a custom map server it still downloads the map. Also why isn't there a newbs guide to downloading and installing maps D:

You extract it to the BL Directory.

C:\Program Files\Blockland or w/e.

If that doesn't work, I'm not helping you.
