Author Topic: Problems with music (only when hosting a server)  (Read 463 times)

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to Blockland. Recently heard about it while searching for a game similar to minecraft and terraria. - In my opinion, Blockland blows them both out of the water!!! - Glad to hop onto the bandwagon, lol.

Anyways, on to the topic:
I downloaded some songs from a post on these forums. I have no issue with them playing. They are named correctly, not too long, nor too large... the issue arises when I am hosting a server. People can join the server and build etc. but when I (or anyone else) place a music block and select one of those songs, any players in the server suddenly glitch/freeze and end up having to disconnect. - My assumption is that when they join my server, it's not downloading the music for them... in which case when the music is called to play, they don't have the file, which then makes them freeze. - That is only my thought on the issue. Not sure if that is what's really causing it.

This has been happening for the past few days. My Question is whether or not I have to compile these songs into an add-on so that they download it while joining the server? Any answers are greatly appreciated. If anyone has come across this issue, please leave your input whether or not you have found a solution. After searching the forums for about an hour last night, I did not see anyone else with this issue.

Thank you.

They have to turn on Download Music in Options.

Also, set all addons to default and load your music and try.

This only happens when they dont have download music on. Options. Netowork. Check Download Music. If it doesnt work than do what pacnet said above.

Double post. loving keyboard. Network**^

Thanks for the help guys. I made a friend while playing who decided he would test it out, and it's confirmed. He only froze up and crashed when "download music" was off. So if people joining my server freeze/crash, it's their own fault. xD

I appreciate the feedback guys.
