Author Topic: Custom Colorsets in new Blockland  (Read 1990 times)

I'm trying to use a self-made color set in the new Blockland, which isn't quite as simple as before where you could just replace colorSet.txt, but requires actually properly packaging the file.  Well, I've done what I could following information about packaging colorset addons, as well as looking at other addons for comparison with mine and I don't see any difference.  Either way, when I choose Custom game mode, then go to select a color set, the only thing that comes up is the default.  I am using RTB if that makes a difference.  The console log says nothing about the file.

http://www.mediafire.com/?kwyjbj5ndcx850d  That's my colorset zip file.  It's in My Documents/Blockland/Add-Ons.  I tried it as a bare directory and without the namecheck.txt file.  Either way, it doesn't appear.  Help with getting this working would be appreciated.  Also this thread isn't about the olor set itself, so keep it on topic, and I have no issues with people using it.

It looks like your problem. Can you use other colorsets?

Here I am running yours :

Well, I downloaded Big Brother's New color set from RTB, and it also doesn't appear, so i guess it is something on my end.  By the way, I'm running a dedicated server, and I'm doing this through Game Mode in the Administrator menu, then selecting Custom.  All the other Add-Ons and Music menu work fine, and have both the default and additionally installed add-ons.

Open the colorset zip and drag colorSet.txt to config/server/, then start the server.

which isn't quite as simple as before where you could just replace colorSet.txt

It is as simple as just replacing colorSet.txt. There's no need to make any packaged file.

Hmm, I guess I tried that before and it didn't work, but it worked now.  Still unusual that packaged colorsets don't work.
