Author Topic: Democrats update their platform with "Jerusalem and God" references. (Read 514 times)

This is really stupid. They apparently decided to omit "God" from their platform at first but now they had to put it back in. It's so unnecessary for a country with various religions like the US, which is supposed to be more toward the separation of Church and State, right? Whats more is they decided to add "Jerusalem" as well, a sign of unconditional alliance with Israel, which has to be mentioned everywhere 24/7.

i like how jerusalem has to be mentioned so everyone can go on a stuff spree going on with jews and muslims

I was listening to the convention and the amount of religious reference was annoying.

Still a step up from talking to a chair and purely negative approaches but still.

was expecting all the jews and other religious groups to hold up signs that are like "WHAT THE forget IS THIS"

Boo hoo, Republicans talk about mixing religion and government all the time.... And so what? They put in a word. Not a big deal.

IN ADDITION: They're trying to get more Christians to vote for Democrats.

I really don't mind God being there as it's always there every year. It's the fact that they had to change it.
