How do you add a texture to a model in Milkshape?

I'm currently working on a laser and I'm trying to give it a model..

damn i have that same  problem. lol

Go to materials menu.

Press "New".

Select a texture.

Select group in the model you want to apply texture too.

go back to materials menu and press "Apply". Texture should appear on model.

If not, right click on the 3D box and select textured mode.

Sweet, thanks!

Your welcome.

If you want more precision on the placement of texture you can go to window>texture coordinate editor and that will let you modifty the placement of the texture. Bare in mind that its really tricky to work sometimes and can be a pain in the but.

Also, the transparency sliders for the materials menu will not work/have any effect on the model when put in Blockland. The texture must have its own transparency layer (PNG file) in order to be transparent. Sadly I am still having trouble with this...   :(

Good luck :)
