Totes owned them with your reply! I think maybe all you accomplished is confirming your email account is active which they can then sell onto spam companies.

I was about to say this.
Either way, I've gotten loads of e-mails from legit Blizzard about people trying to break into my WoW account. If I knew who was doing it, I would've given it to them. I'm pretty sure it was just a lv 8 character on a trial account.
