Author Topic: New Video Card  (Read 748 times)

I was thinking about upgrading my video card from this DEFAULT one:

Nvidia GeForce 315
To THIS one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127696
GeForce GTX 660 Ti

Computer specs:

If that is incompatible, then suggest other video cards for me to buy around that price range.

A list of the actual parts rather than DirectX (which only shows the CPU name and computer specs) helps, you know.

<3 graphic cards that cost a lot.

the CPU name
>Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz

But yeah, you also need to consider if your motherboard has a slot for it (Based off your current card I'm assuming it does, but I can't find any 315 on newegg/similar sites to verify) and the power supply, neither of which would be shown on dxdiag

The 315 is not sold in stores, it comes with the computer only.

1. MSI has this weird anti-dust thing that runs the fans on 100% power for 30 seconds upon startup.
2. Get the EVGA 670 FTW because it's better

You are definitely going to need to upgrade the power supply, seeing as the general for it is 300W.
What's your budget and what are you looking to run? Suggesting a high-end card when you don't know what he's going to be doing is moronic.

I said that wrong, fixed.
