quick computer question

Why is it that my computer can handle Blockland perfectly fine, but when I play Slender it lags like hell.
Maybe it's just me being stupid and not knowing anything, but this seems odd.

Slender is a cheapy made game.  Blockland is a simple 3D game that runs on many low-end (but not all) computers.

Get a bunch (or how many dev'd slender) of inefficient developers.
Have them make a game with something that shouldn't be using thousands of objects at once.
And then have them fill the thing up with tens of thousands of trees.
