Is there a way, when using the terrain terraform editor, to flatten all the terrain in the map with one click?

Well, you could make a terrain heightmap with one solid color. That would be fastest way.

Other than that there really isnt a tool for that.

I too want this but its just not there :(

There is a fast way, I'll go look it up.

1. Open the world editor.
2. Open the Terrain Terraform Editor.
3. Click the button labeled operation.
4. Select Filter.
5. Click and drag all the red diamonds down to min.
6. Click apply.
7. Shape and texture the terrain however you want. Don't forget to relight the scene to re-render shadows.

Thanks, I also have a new question that came up while mapping.

I am making my map by using the bedroom map, deleting everything in it, and flattening the terrain, so I save it under a new name. For some reason, where the basement used to be, the terrain gets dark when you go down near it. And also, there's something called "clock" that I can't get rid of, and I don't know where it's at.

Delete your map's ml for the first solution.

F11 > F3 > Click clock > Hit delete.

simgroups dont delete

They do if you get their id and delete it in the console. Just find the number next to clock, press the key above Tab, and type number.delete(); and press enter.

Alright, now how about the odd lighting situation, anyone know why it's doing that?

Never mind, I solved that on my own, when I placed the interior in the map, and hit "Relight Scene" it seemed to go away.

But, of course, a new problem has sprung up. Parts of the interior I made are able to be just walked right through, as if they weren't even there! Any idea what's going on here?

Did you rescale your interior?

Ace

No, I did not. I'm wondering if it's something I did wrong in Torque Constructor...
