Author Topic: How do I access my windows OS files through ubuntu  (Read 469 times)

I have some clips of games on windows I wan't to use to make a video but I don't like the video editing software on windows so I use ubuntu's. But I have no clue on how to get to those clips through ubuntu without a USB. Is there any way to access my windows files through linux?

Your C:/ drive would be your Windows partition.
If you used the Ubuntu Windows installer whatever that's called, it won't work for some reason.
If you booted into the live cd and created a new partition and installed it there, it should work fine.

it should be in your /host folder.

The Windows partition where you installed Wubi is available as /host within Ubuntu (Places > Computer > File System > Host) All the other partitions will be available under Places > Removable Media
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide near the bottom.
