Mine does the same thing. Except it's my GPU. It makes a different static noise reacting to the graphics. I'm playing Minecraft on the menu, I hear a buzzing static, I click on Video Settings, it changes to a deeper buzzing static noise. It reacts with the GPU for some reason. I have no idea why.

GT 525M and I7-2670qm. Probably the worse combination for a laptop ever.
