well, somebody on these forums tried to upload a backdoor via my image uploader. luckily they caught it before it did any harm...

You should learn to secure them anyway - if you're only verifying based on the extensions you probably have backdoors you just don't know about, unless there is barely anyone using it.

Oh yeah, I probably should have told you about that.
Someone managed to forget with my website too, most likely through the image uploader.

EDIT: You should check your website for other files, I found about ten different php scripts scattered among my site's folders. I'm not even sure if I got it all yet.

There was only one, luckily I didn't keep anything too sensitive on the website.
