Author Topic: Decent monitor brand?  (Read 429 times)

I'm saving all my moneys for a new drawing tablet, and want to get a screen at the same time. And I was wondering if anyone knows a good monitor brand that I could look into?

My budget is about $150 but I could go to like $230 if necessary. I don't care if its name brand stuff as long as it doesn't cost a damn house payment. the cheapest grade level I prefer is at least asus or around that.

I was thinking about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236117&Tpk=vh238h because my brother has it and I like it, but his came with a dead pixel and a few other people had that problem as well. And someone in the comment section said that the colors aren't what they could be for that price.

I'm just asking if you guys own a decently priced monitor that has good colors, because I like to draw a lot and awesome colors would be cool. :>

What size and does it need to do 1080p

Asus is a great monitor brand. You could also look into IPS monitors as they're amazing; I'm probably going to purchase one sometime.

Edit: I actually have that same monitor. No dead pixels and it works great.

Acer's a great brand, as long as you get the right SKUs.
Never had an issue with ViewSonic either.
Would personally recommend either brand.

I want 1920 x 1080 hd

...that's standard NTSC 16:9 1080p

Is that bad?
Also I have no loving idea about anything computer related, I just use one :D

Is that bad?
It's the same quality any 1080p television uses, of course not.

What size monitor in inches I mean.
