Hes techincally not my great uncle (not really related) but hes been part of the family for so long that hes basically a brother to my grandma. Anyways, the hospital cant take him off life support until permission from a family member. The only one he has is his daughter back in Poland. They never got a long at all. So my grandma is going to call his daughter in Poland tomorrow to get permission.

Just remember to stay calm and everything should be fine, You may be sad however you can atleast remember the nice times you had with him.

I feel really bad for you. Old people are very vulnerable to sicknesses. Your great uncle must have caught a very dangerous disease. I forgot mostly all diseases that I learned about. I hope they find out what is causing it and cure it if your uncle is still alive.

They took him off life support yesterday and he died at 11pm.

The worst part is that ge was mentally functioning perfectly fine and he knew what was happening but him body was shutting down
