Can't find a good way to "dock" my shortcuts.

but this is fast and works with every installed program (sometimes even files)

is it possible to have them scrolling left to right instead of up and down? i have an idea for that, where it'd just be a horizontal line of applications in the middle of the screen on my desktop that i could just scroll through left and right, that might work.
