Author Topic: My friend is getting ripped of on Music equipment  (Read 931 times)

What is the solo anyways.

Well there's lots he wants to do, like on Sweet child of mine, he's trying to do that.

Other rock stuff

Try and be kind when helping your friend, On the otherhand you should really do something if he's taking you for granted.

$115 - Stratocaster
$200 - Body from Uncle
$600 - Custom Guitar
$  70 - Bass
$235 - Acoustic Guitar
$350 - Guitar
$200 - Drums
$600 - Lessons ($50 x 12Months in a year)

$2370 spent in total.

Where has he gotten all this money from, and is there any reason why he's purchasing an entire band's worth of instruments? Does he even play the Bass or Drums?

Maybe it's just me, but all this spending just seems very suspicious. Very large sum of money and a very large range of equipment.
Even if the money has been spent over a large period of time it still sounds like a lot for someone whom I presume isn't very old.

It's a conspiracy, he wants to take over the music industry.

He isn't really old, he's 15. He gets about $800 for Christmas and $400 for his Birthday..

His parents are Rich... Or in debt.

To him $3000 isn't expensive at all.

If that is the case then it's no wonder then that he's wasting so much money on all this.
He's spoilt and obviously doesn't quite see what money is actually worth.
I'd reckon there's nothing you can do to help him see that he's wasting money.
Particularly if it's not his money and he just sees it as coming from the bottomless pit that is his parents wallet.

Yeah, I guess I just don't want his parents finding out what crap he's been buying and them getting ticked at him.
