Somebody suggest me a cheaper video card (if there is one) that can run:
  • Blockland with Max shaders with 60+ FPS at about 500 render distance
  • Minecraft with the GLSL mod, running at a decent framerate

because the GTX690 is the equivalent of throwing your money into a campfire.

If there isn't one, I don't mind using the GTX690.

I have a Gigabyte GeForce GTX670OC and I could run blockland on max shaders no problem.  I also have the same processor that you plan to get and I love it

I am abiding by the advice that the i7 is only for enthusiasts.

Wants to only play Blockland and Minecraft
Thinks he needs top of the line video card
Even though Minecraft runs on Java it's not GTX 690 to get 60 FPS bad
Also why do you have 2 750 GB HDD each at 125$ when you can get a 2 TB for 120$

I'm going to run Minecraft with the GLSL mod. If a downgrade is fine, then I am OK.

I'm probably just going to use a GTX670.

I doubt you'll ever build this computer, anytime someone has some crazy priced build it never pans out. Also the fact that you don't really know much about computers makes this build seem it'll never happen

My computer cost $2000 and I bought it about a month ago.

I would defs go with the 670, and yes i7 is a little overkill right now

Switched to the GTX670, my computer price dropped down to 1.8k.

I know plenty of knowledge about computers. I am not some sort of richard who goes and buys 4 sticks of extremely high speed Ripjaws RAM for $200.

I got the hybrid SSDs for a reason: The speed of a SSD and the reliability of a HDD.
