Author Topic: Stereo Mix on windows XP  (Read 581 times)

So, I've been looking for a text-to-speech program so i can talk to people on skype without a mic.
But apparently i need something called Stereo Mix which allows other people to hear what comes out of my speakers.
Ive google'd it and i didn't come up with anything really helpful. Did anyone else have this problem, and can you help me find a fix?
Didn't know what section to put this in, but ill probably be locking it soon any way.

Stereo mix has to be built into the computer. If you don't have it, you don't get it.

Unless i'm wrong . . .

Open Volume Control, Options menu, Properties.
Click the radio button next to "Recording" or change your mixer device to "Blah blah blah input" or the like.
Make sure all the options are selected in the menu box at the bottom of the pop-up window.
Click OK.
Ensure Stereo Mix is selected and fiddle around with the volume until you get it just right.
