Author Topic: Server-wide music too loud  (Read 518 times)

I was looking around for some code to make music go through the entire server at the same volume.

I searched, and found this:
Code: [Select]
AudioMusicLooping3d.is3d = 0;
AudioMusicLooping3d.referenceDistance = 999999;
AudioMusicLooping3d.maxDistance = 999999;

But when I play music, it's INCREDIBLY LOUD. How do I fix this?

Don't use music bricks for server-wide music. Use a manually placed 2D AudioEmitter.

That would have the same effect, seeing how a music brick places an audioemitter and the code is making it 2d.

The last two lines in the OP code wont do anything though. I've only put those there before because it was to give 'too loud' errors so you could only place one. The 'too loud' error doesn't exist anymore.

Thanks, removing those lines fixed the problem.

That's odd...

They shouldn't even do anything.

They still seem to behave differently when specifying attributes directly when creating an AudioEmitter instead of giving it an AudioDescription.
I don't know why, but it just seems to work better that way.

Adjust AudioMusicLooping3d.volume accordingly.
