So I was reading a book, Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6, and I realized that there was a british dude named "Price." He has all of the same characteristics as the guy from the game, too. According to wikipedia Rainbow 6 was published in 1998 and the first Call of Duty in 2003. Discuss.

Apparantely he's inspired by other characters and real British SAS soldiers.

Price isn't a rare surname, particularly in the UK, and especially in Wales. It's quite likely that there are many cases of fictional and real members of the British Armed Forces and SAS with the surname Price.
