Author Topic: Problems with RP Core.  (Read 445 times)

Being the only RP system available that I can get my hands on and still sort of works, I'm stuck with RP Core.

Anyway, for whatever reason, players on my server can't use the "onActivate" event and get the message "The event 'onActivate' is for admins only!".

I'm assuming this is related to RP Core, as none of the other mods I have restrict usage of events. So I'm wondering where in the RP Core zip file do I find whatever it is that's blocking certain events for public use?

Assuming anyone is willing to help.

The latest update broke several mods with custom events. I believe you are using JVS doors, correct?

There is a problem with JVS Content that breaks the doors making them admin only. This has nothing to do with RP Core.

Ahh, thanks.

Well in that case, what can I do to fix the JVS doors?

You need to manually edit the JVS doors event code. Search through the r1808 thread, someone posted the part of the code what you need to change.

Noedit:

Hold on. I disabled JVS content and the JVS doors/switches and players still aren't allowed to use OnActivate.

Noedit2:

Okay, I've just made a realization. It isn't JVS.

Weird, amirite?

I deactivated all mods, loaded up a server, and tried onactivate.

Worked.

I activated the JVS packs and loaded up a server, then tried onactivate.

Worked again.

So I'm just going to carefully add back each add-on. Pop-lock-n'dropping this topping.
