There also should be random barbarian occupations across the map, and resources, random castles from old times, and mad wizards. Yes?
These senile old wizards should spring forth armies from the flick of their beard. And if you conquer them eventually you earn magical treasures from their studies.

Avalonia utilizes the trireme for its navy, fairly large since much of Avalonia is seafront property.
If an enemy attacks by land, the standard warrior is sent at them.

Avalonia has magicians I guess, but the idea of magic disgusts most Avalonians, so it's only used as cheap parlor circus tricks or in times of great necessity, except by the grand chamber, a group of Avalonia's magically elite who keep Avalonia safe on the astral front.

Avalonia is ruled by its Chancellor, and below him is the Avalonian High Command which he appoints.

Avalonia doesn't want trouble, just land and relative peace, and is open to alliances with its neighbors. Avalonia doesn't take prisoners in times of war though except for leaders, and will target the offender's royalty and/or leaders for kidnapping. You've been warned, shown that the door's open for alliance, and overall, you can look at Vothus to see how this Avalonia will hopefully go, I won't start anything to hurt you, but if you hit first, Avalonia won't leave anything of you behind. Fair warning.
