Author Topic: My mom bought Norton Antivirus and wants me to install it  (Read 2465 times)

It's better than any other anti-virus I've ever used and its loving free
avg pro tier friends

Slap her in the face, steal her car, return norton, buy AVG, install it ???? Profit?

it's an antivirus, install it.

it's an antivirus, install it.
Norton Antivirus doesnt do stuff to even be considered an antivirus.
I scanned my computer with norton, and it told me i had 14 trojans. I dont think a computer could function properly at that point. After i unistalled Norton, i got Malwarebytes and it told me my computer was clean for the most part.

I would just install it, then unistall it after a week or 2. Then get something else. Having more than one anti virus isnt efficient.

Tell her to buy F-Secure instead of Norton.

she bought you a drink coaster, and all you want to do is sell it?
come on, don't be rude.

i cant even count how many family and friend's family members i have known to buy the physical CD from some store for the higher price.

disks for programs only serve 1 purpose. for people without internet access.
but then you wouldnt need an anti virus would you lol.

I even have a friend who knows slightly more then the average girl about PCs (very little, but should have some common sense) Yet every year he still goes out to buy the 40 dollar turbo tax disks from walmart.
the program that is just a browser that leads straight to the online turbo tax stuff that you could already visit anyways.

sometimes i wanna hit people.

Tell her to buy F-Secure instead of Norton.
and double the amount of time it takes you to boot your computer
F-Secure makes everything load like balls

Tell her to buy F-Secure instead of Norton.

Paying for antivirus is a scam. There are so many free antiviruses out there that have the same functionality if not better than any you have to pay for.

Yeah, you're right.

I honestly don't understand why everyone hates Norton so much, me and my family have been using it for years and we've never had a problem with it.
