Does it have a option for changing its start menu icon? Since I like windows 7 start menu icon better.

Windows 8 is a flop. You shouldn't have to download external programs to make the UI design actually half-decent.

Agreed completely but I'm not putting that 30$ down the loving drain

It's just one program, and you can even get them for free. What's the big deal? Windows 8 boots faster and is generally better than Windows 7 and you don't have to "move a mountain" to get the start menu and boot into desktop back, you only have to "kick a pebble".

I'm not talking about windows 8 + start8 or whatever program you use, I'm talking about Windows 8, the OS, which is what this topic is about.

An OS should be able to stand upright on it's own two feet without extra support.

This is really a good version of Windows. I don't know why so much people hate it.

Why do you need a start button?  Shouldn't you know that the start button is always in the corner?

IIRC windows 8 has a start button, anyway. You just have to be a sneaky ninja and use regedit.
