Mouse wont work unless i double click

My mouse is doing this weird thing
every time i click on something it doesn't work
when i click again it still wont work
if i double click real fast it works
it happens 1/3 times i go to click on something
anyone know whats wrong with my mouse?

( it only happens on things i have to click on once to activate, like clicking reply on a topic or opening a new tab )

No its not the speed of my double clicks
Every time i click something that REQUIRES ONE CLICK to activate it wont work
but when i double click it it works

like clicking on the address bar or clicking the home button on the forums
both of those only need one click but for some reason my mouse is unresponsive unless i double click

umm... try restarting your computer.

It might be due to some software setting somewhere (Mouse drivers, Windows mouse properties, etc) or the mouse's switches getting a bit worn.

Have you tried using a different mouse or the same mouse on a different computer?

I'm using a different mouse right now and its working fine so it might be that the switch is worn out.
