Author Topic: how would a fallout server work?  (Read 1101 times)

i just need a few ideas, i made up a large amount of perks to work in a multiplayer game smoothly, i repurposed certain skills, and removed speech and outdoorsman, will be making a weapon set to work w/ v.a.t.s., basically i'm planning to make a fallout based rp, but, i need to know what would work better as a leveling up system, should it be pvp? should it be like a standard rp? or a rpg? i need opinions so this could appeal to more people

Big open landscape
Random loot
Areas where players can build with the use of caps
Loot
Npcs

Big open landscape shouldn't be too hard with terrain bricks
Random loot dropped by enemies or spawned in the enviroment?
Areas where players can build with the use of caps like apartments or farms, or both?
Loot dropped or spawned?
Npcs to barter w/ and give quests, guild wars style?

Random loot in chests
Both
Dropped from NPCs and spawned in abandoned buildings
Npcs to buy from, fight, and just to be there

Lets just say that a 1:1 build would require single player.

If blockland were more efficient in the way it handles bricks we could do some amazing stuff, we could make giant landscapes and amazing terrain.

Buu, manual looting first off, also, you would need armor too, not just weapons, along with other such stuff, also, multiplayer vats does not work what so ever.

yeah i think blockland needs a loot mod. randomized stats from randomized weapons that pop out of kills.
all with limited ammo to force you to use any available crap weapon you can find lol

this system would force people to not hide and snipe the entire time to. they would have to go TO a kill eventually for a new weapon, and likely not one that can snipe again.

Tomb lands
I still have it.

Bad thing is you can't have too big of a landscape or else most of your bricks = landscape
