Author Topic: Blockland is very well optimized!! (Server)  (Read 1448 times)

I never knew Blockland servers ran this good, I ran a server with 3-4 people on it with the Speedkart gamemode on a computer that has a Pentium 4 1.5ghz processor and only 240mb of ram (only about 80-100mb was usable). The server ran fantastic! No lag, not even when the bricks were getting blown up in the new track that was released or during map changing. I am amazed at how well Blockland performs its pretty cool. Any of you guys have any stories similar to this one?

I have a story, wrong section.
My other story is, I agree. BL's system is very efficient.

So was I, I think it's those exclamation marks in the title

I ran a city build with about 10000 bricks on a 1.2 GHz Celeron with 768 Mb RAM, and it worked surprisingly well. It did freeze momentarily when duplicating large builds, but I think this has more to do with the duplicator itself rather than the computer. Blockland is probably the least demanding modern game I've seen, at least considering how complicated it is.

Lol @ how your name is Pentium, but I agree. I thought it wouldn't run but I was surprised, and I was using Wine also. Props to Badspot, I'm just basically thanking him.

This thread is now a contest for the crappiest computer you can run Blockland on. (or host a server) Go!
