Author Topic: Question about car rims...fixed.  (Read 504 times)

I have a 2001 Olds Intrigue. Stock rims are 16s, these are 17s but they're both five nut rims. I guess I was just wondering if anybody knows if these would fit on my car.

I would advise against it, but at the same time I've heard of people fitting rims that are one size up. Your best bet is to contact your local auto-repair mechanic and see what his opinion is. Odds are, if he's at the desk, he has time to answer your question. That, and he gets PAID to do it, so of course he wants to get paid / answer you.

Personally I've stuck to the correct rim size with my rims on my volvo, I don't trust putting different sizes on.

Well provided I would get slimmer tires for them.

I would still ask an auto-mechanic. No charge, and he's paid to answer your questions, at worst, you waste 5 minutes tops of your life and they won't fit.

Can't hurt.
