Author Topic: Shut up about Windows 8 not running Steam.  (Read 528 times)

Steam works pretty well on Windows 8. There is even an app in the windows store (free) which allows you to put steam games on your start menu, with animated icons displaying your achievements, time played, etc.

Steam works pretty well on Windows 8. Get off that stupid bandwagon and face real life.

If you DO have problems with Steam, it's not Windows 8. It's your crappy computer, upgrade or buy a better one.

so far i've only noticed  this in the windows or ubuntu topic.

Not sure why anyone had problems.

It works fine on my bro's computer.

I can attest to this

I think you mean all of the bandwagon hate for Windows 8 instead of a specific hatred.

Can we just call it a loving feature instead of an app?

Any one one calls a feature of program and app should go back to their stupid tablets and smart phones.

I really just called it an app because microsoft calls it an app.

I've been using computers for awhile, it is something that just sticks with you.

They've been called applications for a long time now, on any OS.

I haven't heard the term application since smart phones came about. I will still continue to call them executables and programs. Alteast microsoft lets you customize your stuff, so windows 8 cant be that problematic.

Just because you haven't heard the term doesn't mean other people weren't using it.

I didn't say anything about that. I just said I didn't hear anything about that, I'm not denying that people used the term before I heard about it.

Well, according to Wikipedia, we're both right.

They are 'applications', but 'app' is a term exclusive to mobile devices such as cellphones and tablets.

No hard feelings then.
