This UI is ugly, it has nothing to do with Metro UI, those are just greyscale borderless boxes/buttons, at least make it colorful like Metro really is.

Metro is not colorful, what you are talking about is the Start Menu, and its colors are optional, he made it inspired by the current Windows Visual Style Windows 8 uses.

Its a bit off but I'm sure he can fix it.
