Might as well share your advice too.
I'm just speaking on what I know from having 2 terribly annoying cats who have awful relationships with food.

They won't eat fish, but one of them will physically fight you for doughnut. :/

I'm no vet. I'm sure OP wants tips from everyone. :P

my cat eats basic meow mix. i cant even TRY and feed her better catfood, she will starve instead of trying it lol

I would just see what it does all day, like take a day and just watch your cat. Sometimes, they can swallow things that will make them vomit. If you can without barfing yourself, look at his barf to see if there is anything unusual in it. If not, then you should go take him to a vet.
