i ban people who i think are insufferable too. you know, the whole "hey drama subforum this is guy is an asshat" -> "i'll perma him from my server" exchange isn't uncommon here.

this is similar to that in sense of "i dislike this person so i'm going to ban them."

Banning someone for dislike (who doesn't even bother you in the moment) is pretty wrong, especially if it's not even your server, however the host doing it wouldn't make it any more right.
